Keep rollin’…
Hi again,
Thanks for all the nice words and for reading. This week’s post deals when my heart failure really went into high gear and I could feel that something was hindering me. I swam just one lap and needed to stop for a breather. I grew up swimming and competing, so that was definitely something that was odd.
After the swim it felt like I had a swollen ball right under my sternum, which I later learned is called the “gastro intestinal area” (any health care people in the house, correct me if I am wrong), and that feeling would be something that would come back again and again.
Thank you so much for reading and have a great week!
Week #3
At least I made it to week 2.
Hi all. I made it to week two at least and that feels good! Thanks for all the nice and encouraging comments and the subscriptions (!). I am honored. Last night I started to feel a bit uncomfortable with all this and started asking myself if it is such a good idea to wade through all these events again. I think it was after putting together the Facebook page that it started to feel a bit much. “What if I freak out in mid stride with this project?”. I guess the brain has a way to shield itself from hard times, so there’s a bit of a veil in between me and what happened. Oh well. After a night’s sleep I decided it’s alright.
I also want to extend a thank you to this gal, “Texan in Tokyo” who has posted a bunch of inspirational and clear instructional videos on how to go about on-line comics, plus responding to my messages and sharing some of her experiences in this matter. Thank you Texan!
On-wards and forwards and inwards, and hope you’ll all have a nice week!
Week #2
I finally got started!
This is the site where I will post new episodes of “I Left My Heart In Palo Alto”, a comic about my and my family’s experience with my heart transplant. I might also include other news that seem related, such as heart or organ transplant in general and… I realize that it’s too many so I’ll keep the net pretty wide. Thanks for coming here and check it out!
